The silk
artistry of Linda Vinson
Award
winning artist and designer Linda Vinson extends her talents as a fine artist to
the medium of hand painted silk wearable art, paintings and worship flags.
After years of studying watercolor, she utilizes that experience and her
love of opulent fabrics to express her artistic visions outside the limitations
of paper.
Born
and raised in Louisville, Ky., and a graduate of the University of Kentucky,
Linda has a dual major in Textile and Design, and Business. She
has studied under silk artists from both the East and West coasts to learn the
wide range of techniques of hand painting silk. These combination of influences,
and her background as a watercolorist, contribute to her unique style.
Linda
enjoys sharing her techniques with others in her classes and demonstrations.
Linda’s silk painting can be enjoyed as framed wall art or as wearable art in fashion ensembles and
accessories.
